In this 90-minute webinar, we will:
- Be able to identify the ways in which children are used as part of abusive behavior
- Learn how abusive behavior impacts children in the short- and long-term
- Build skills to support parents and children who have experienced abuse, with a focus on supporting children who have visitation or other forms of contact with the person who has used abusive behavior.
About the Speaker: Mary Willis, MA, LPCC, is the Early Childhood Therapist at Domestic Abuse Project. The majority of her work is with young children and parents, but she also works with older children and co-facilitates a group for parents. In her clinical practice, she believes strongly in radical, client-centered therapy which centers self-determination and open discussion of power imbalances.
Live closed-captioning and ASL interpretation will be available for this webinar. You will also have the opportunity to request a certificate of attendance which can typically be used for CEUs.
