Women’s Advocates’ is unique because of our focus on the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness. Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness and to combat this reality, Women’s Advocates’ offers Emergency Shelter that transitions into our innovative Housing Stability Program to assist victim-survivors and their children in taking the next steps after shelter to reclaim their independence in new homes free from abuse. 

What is needed most at this time:

• Annual Fund
  Gifts of all levels to our Annual Fund supports Women’s Advocates’ daily life-saving work in our Emergency Shelter and Housing Stability Programs which includes: 24/7 crisis line, children’s program, crisis response advocates, providing 3 meals a day plus snacks, advocacy support care, transportation, counseling and healing therapy, and our alternative shelter program. 

• Shelter Expansion Capital Campaign
  Women’s Advocates is raising $14.25 million to double our shelter capacity with two new buildings – doubling our number of shelter beds. Our new buildings offering private apartments where victim-survivors of all genders, sexualities, and abilities can heal and live with their pets 24/7.

• Lean on Me & Children’s Program
  We’ve launched our Lean on Me program to create a safe space for youth ages 4–17 to heal from domestic violence. We still need your help to unlock a $26,000 match from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation! Your donation will provide advocacy, mentorship, and resources to over 50 youth annually.
